It’s iPhone 4S release day!
October 14th, 2011
The day has come that Apple fans have been waiting for! It's iPhone 4S release day!
It might look (exactly) like an iPhone 4 on the outside, but on the inside there are some key differences:
- Dual-core A5 processor - Up to twice as fast
- Improved antenna
- 512 MB of RAM
- Updated 8 megapixel (3264×2448 resolution) rear camera
- Video recording up to 1080p with image stabilization
- Talk-time battery life up to 8 hours (but standby time down by 100 hours)
- Siri voice control
- Comes in black and white
Three prices and three different capacities (assuming contract): 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399.
Queues at Apple retail stores around the world seem to have been subdued today, but given that Apple got over 1 million pre-orders on the first day, maybe people decided to have them delivered.
I'm hearing that AT&T customers are having problems activating their new handsets (seems like it's been a busy day for AT&T) ... not much they can do beyond wait.
