OK, first off, thanks for all the email that you've sent me in relation to iTunes 5 problems. I've had so much that there's no way I can respond to everyone individually - sorry - but your messages have given me an unique insight into the problems that at least some of you are having with the iTunes software (specifically the problems hooking up the iPod to it and CD ripping problems).
Just to keep you in the loop, what I've now done is contacted Apple for some feedback - specifically to see if they are making any progress in fixing these issues and to see if they are willing to make iTunes 4.9 available for download again for affected users. When/if I get a reply to my email, I'll let you know.
