More battery recalls

More battery woes thanks to Sony.  Here are the numbers:

Toshiba is to  recall 830,000 laptop Li-Ion notebook batteries
Fujitsu  is recalling an undisclosed number of batteries
Dell has increased the number of batteries to recall by 100,000 to 4.2 million

Seems like Sony will be picking up the tab for all this.

Lenovo/IBM to recall 526,000 Sony batteries

Lenovo is to recall 526,000 Li-Ion batteries shipped with certain IBM Thinkpad models.  Guess who made these batteries - Sony!  Things just keep on getting worse for that company (karma perhaps for that XCP incident at the beginning of the year?).

Microsoft has announced pricing for their Zune media player and it turns out that the 30GB Zune will go one sale for $249.99 - a cost that is 99 cents more than a 30GB iPod.  Songs available for download from the Zune Marketplace will cost about 99 cents a song, the same as at the [...]
