Penguin are making available a free unabridged podcast version (in MP3 format) of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens read by Geoffrey Palmer.  It's in five parts and part 1  is available today and continues on the 16, 19, 20 and 21 December.

Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, makes an interesting point in his latest blog entry .  It concerns giving away free copies of an e-book (God’s Debris ) available free online with the hope that people would buy the sequel.
The conclusion that Scott has come to:
